About The Position

Wallace Electric, a part of Kelso Industries, is seeking skilled Industrial & Commercial Electricians (Electrician II) for full-time, permanent positions in the Metro Atlanta area. This role offers a stable career path with a company established in 1937, focusing on delivering exceptional HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions nationwide. The Electrician II will install and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems, interpret blueprints, troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and install equipment. The role requires the ability to work independently, potentially train and supervise others, and provide clear communication. Responsibilities also include ensuring safety and compliance, documenting work, and crafting material lists. This position is not temporary or contract-based.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of solid electrical experience within the Commercial and/or Industrial sector(s).
  • Highly skilled in electrical systems.
  • Solid work experience in the Commercial and/or Industrial sector(s).
  • Adept knowledge working with electrical systems, including panels, transformers, and motors.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of regulatory codes.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong physical capabilities: lifting equipment, operating machinery, standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. minimum.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Keen eye for details.
  • Ability to build and provide exceptional service with the supervisor, client, and other trades.
  • Ability to lead a team of electricians.
  • 7+ years of practical experience or a combination of practical experience and classroom instruction.
  • Completed vocational/trade/technical school or completed an apprenticeship program, like IEC or similar accredited apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and repairs Commercial and Industrial electrical systems.
  • Interprets blueprints, including laying out work and slabs.
  • Troubleshoots complex electrical issues.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Installs equipment, ensuring correct mounting to mirror blueprints.
  • Works with electrical systems, including panels, transformers, and motors.
  • Works independently and potentially trains and supervises helpers.
  • Lays out work for other electricians.
  • Conveys information to other electricians/contractors with clarity and transparency.
  • Provides detailed documentation.
  • Ensures safety and compliance on the jobsite.
  • Performs wire pulling, knowledgeable of voltage colors and panel numbering.
  • Efficiently bends conduit, able to install and run over 100 feet of conduit per day without assistance.
  • Crafts a material list for work to be performed.
