Requirements

  • 5-7 years of solid electrical experience within the Commercial and/or Industrial sector(s).
  • Knowledge of basic voltage colors and panel numbering.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, regulatory codes, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Highly proficient in electrical equipment installation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and meticulously.
  • Keen eye for details.
  • Strong physical capabilities- lifting equipment, operating machinery, standing for extended periods of time, working in confined spaces, while indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. minimum.
  • Between 5 to 7 years of practical experience or a combination of practical experience and classroom instruction.
  • Completed vocational/trade/technical school or an apprenticeship-like IEC or a similar accredited apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, repairs, and performs maintenance on Commercial and Industrial electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems.
  • Performs specialized electrical tasks, including wiring, lighting installations, and upgrading electrical infrastructure.
  • Performs wire pulling.
  • Installs, bends, and runs over 100 feet of conduit per day without assistance.
  • Utilizes analytical skills when reviewing/interpreting drawings on a work order.
  • Mounts electrical equipment precisely to mirror drawings.
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Identifies and resolves technical issues.
  • Communicates clearly to others on what to do and how to execute.
  • Works methodically and meticulously to prevent error, while ensuring quality and maintaining safety.
  • Lifts equipment, operates machinery, stands for extended periods of time, and works in confined spaces.
  • Works indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions.
