Commercial Account Executive -New Business Development

AAA Mountain West Group•Reno, NV

About The Position

AAA is hiring a Commercial Account Executive to build new business across an assigned seven-state territory and help scale its commercial security and integrated building systems division. This high-impact, hunter-focused role is centered on self-generating commercial opportunities, building relationships with business leaders, and developing a territory rather than maintaining an existing book of business. The role develops and executes a territory plan, proactively prospects through outbound outreach and in-person activity, and leverages AAA’s brand and business relationships to generate referrals. The Account Executive conducts discovery meetings and facility walks, then partners with Sales Engineers on technical design and validation. They recommend integrated security and building technology solutions, prepare proposals and executive presentations, and lead opportunities through negotiation, contract execution, and operational handoff. The position also requires disciplined account planning, Salesforce or other CRM use, pipeline forecasting, and market intelligence. It reports directly to the VP of Revenue Growth & Partnerships. Work takes place in office and field environments, including customer meetings and job sites, and requires travel across assigned commercial corridors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory plan targeting high-value commercial accounts, priority verticals, and key business corridors across assigned regions.

  • Manage complex sales opportunities from discovery and site survey through proposal, negotiation, contract execution, and operational handoff.
  • Map decision-making units, economic buyers, decision criteria, and approval processes within target accounts.
