About The Position

Union Power Insurance Brokers and First Ontario Insurance Brokers is an independently owned brokerage dedicated to serving commercial clients including union members, First Ontario Credit Union clients, and union-affiliated businesses. We specialize in delivering tailored commercial insurance solutions with a strong focus on relationships, trust, and long-term value. We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Commercial Insurance Producer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a sales-focused professional who thrives on building relationships, generating new business, and delivering customized insurance solutions to commercial clients—particularly within union and construction sectors.

Requirements

  • An active insurance license
  • Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a strong background in B2B sales
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (property, liability, construction, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience working with unions or construction-related industries is a strong asset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Policy Works
  • Bilingualism (French/English)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a proactive and independent sales strategy to generate new commercial business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with union organizations, contractors, and business owners
  • Identify client needs and design tailored insurance solutions across various commercial lines
  • Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing client support
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Represent the brokerage at networking events, industry functions, and union engagements
