About The Position

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Command & Telemetry (C&T) Network Engineer to join their National Security Team. This technical role involves solution and design engineering for government passive and active network infrastructures, supporting various classification levels of communications on wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), Campus Area Networks (CAN), Access and Control Interfaces (CI), and other networks. The position requires a minimum of 5 days per week in the office at a government customer site in Colorado Springs, CO. The engineer will provide technical direction and expertise for Command and Telemetry solutions, network systems infrastructure, and transition/transformation efforts, acting as a key support role in a high-performance team.

Requirements

  • 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education (Doctorate and 8 years, master’s and 10 years, bachelor’s and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years).
  • Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Basic sysadmin understanding of Linux Operating system.
  • Understanding of low speed RS422 serial communications to include RS533 electrical specifications and cabling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for Command and Telemetry solutions using KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA P&DB's.
  • Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for network systems infrastructure activities, including planning, designing, and implementing communications and network infrastructure requirements for buildings and systems (Routers, Switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, NTP).
  • Generate installation plans, procedures, templates, and training documentation for deploying Command and Telemetry solutions.
  • Perform/Conduct the transition/transformation from existing to new network design solutions.
  • Provide technical consulting and advice to others on efforts, solution design, system management, tuning, and modification of solutions.
  • Collect and determine data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements.
  • Respond to requests for technical information from customers.
  • Develop customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies.
  • Regularly support the technical assessment and delivery of a specific technical network solution to the customer.
  • Provide a key support role in operating as a conducive high-performance team across all lifecycle stages.
