Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) specializes in multi-domain integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors, and cyber solutions. Focused on program execution, business growth and the highest level of customer satisfaction, the ASDS team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions. We are looking for a dedicated Scrum Master to champion agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement within our delivery teams. You will not just facilitate ceremonies; you will be the guardian of the team’s health, focus, and velocity. Your goal is to foster a self-organizing culture, break down systemic impediments, and help the team deliver high-quality increments with predictability. This position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience
Industry certifications such as CSM, PSM I/II, or PMI-ACP, demonstrating your dedication to Agile methodologies.
Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean principles, and scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
Experience developing object-oriented software using C++ and Java, as well as knowledge of DevSecOps methods, microservices, and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka).
Expertise in leveraging data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements, without weaponizing metrics against the team.
An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Guide the team on self-organization, cross-functionality, and Agile best practices.
Lead effective Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives to drive team alignment and productivity.
Protect the team from external distractions and ensure focus on sprint goals.
Proactively identify, track, and resolve organizational and technical blockers.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and refine the backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined and actionable.
Use burn-down charts, velocity metrics, and continuous flow diagrams to identify areas of improvement and sustain team momentum.
