THE ROLE We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take on the Command Center Dispatcher at the venue. This position exercises responsibility for the command center functions and operations. This is a seasonal, part-time position for show days reporting to the Security Department Manager of the venue. Hours per week will vary depending on show schedule and business.

Requirements

  • Experience as a command center dispatcher or in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced shift environment with flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a live events environment desired.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch Coordination: Dispatch of appropriate departments through the use of radio systems.
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel, providing essential information and instructions.
  • Resource Allocation: Prioritize and allocate resources based on the nature of the incident.
  • Maintain accurate records of resource assignments and availability in dispatching software systems.
  • Communication: Assist in ensuring proper communication between all entities. (Venue, 3rd party vendors, Public safety departments)
  • Technology Utilization: Operate and utilize computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications and actions taken during each emergency incident.
  • Emergency Call Handling: In the event of an emergency, receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and other agencies.
  • Collaborate with venue/event personnel, law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services to ensure a coordinated response to emergency incidents.
  • Gather critical information to assess the nature and urgency of the situation.
