About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. This position will assist Career Services / Experiential Learning with creative writing, graphics and videos for social media among other digital projects, as well as assist with the promotion of departmental events and services. The Digital Media Specialist must be a creative individual who can help our department develop ideas to drive students to our social media sites, events, and services.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of / interest in learning about digital media, social media, creative writing, and marketing strategy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to set and meet task deadlines
  • Willingness to ask questions and grow professionally
  • Available to work at least 10 hours per week
  • Prior experience managing social media accounts, specifically Instagram & Facebook
  • Ability to work both on-campus and remotely
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Express, Capcut, Excel, Microsoft TEAMS
  • Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, or Art major

Responsibilities

  • Research and use social media as a platform to deliver appropriate content and messaging
  • Create and maintain a social media calendar for each semester
  • Generate monthly analytic reports
  • Collaborate with other Digital Media Specialists in the SASCE unit as well as Student Academic Success staff members concerning all digital media content
  • Attend weekly supervision meetings
  • Other Essential duties as needed
