The role involves operating multi-function workstations, paging systems, emergency hotlines, and alarm devices to manage communication within the medical center. The Comm Operator serves as a vital link between personnel, patients, and caregivers, handling routine, urgent, and emergent situations. Responsibilities also include pager and telephone repair, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and personnel information.
