The Welder/Fitter will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. This role involves planning work order procedures, fabricating pipe spools and structural supports, and interpreting blueprints to ensure precise execution of welding tasks. The Welder/Fitter will also maintain and repair machinery, assess welded surfaces for errors, and adhere to strict safety regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring machinery, welding in various positions, and preparing surfaces for welding. The position requires a thorough understanding of welding tools and techniques, blueprint interpretation, and basic mathematical skills related to welding assignments. A valid welding certificate and knowledge of Mig, Tig, and flux core welding are preferred. The role also has specific physical requirements, including the ability to weld in different positions, manual dexterity, close-range vision, lifting up to 50 pounds, and navigating facilities and machinery.
