About The Position

The Combo Driver is responsible for a variety of tasks related to product delivery, customer service, and administrative duties. This role involves ensuring products are delivered, stocked, and rotated correctly at customer locations. The driver will also handle invoicing, collect payments, and maintain good relationships with customers and internal teams. Communication with retailers and management regarding pricing, products, and issues is crucial. The position requires accurate accounting of products and equipment, adherence to company policies and safety regulations, and meticulous completion of required paperwork. The driver must maintain a consistent work schedule, including overtime as needed, and perform other related duties.

Requirements

  • 12-24 months of previous sales experience with a consumer product line and customer relations experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Employees must be insured to operate a vehicle.
  • Must have completed training through the Utility Trainee Pool and currently be on a Combo Delivery or have had a minimum of twelve months previous experience on a Full Service, Tel-Sell, Combo, Express Delivery route.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-100 pounds manually in a repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 300 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear, push, pull and lift overhead.
  • Cannot have corrective action items, either current or in the past twelve months.

Responsibilities

  • Orders, delivers, stocks, and rotates all products at customer locations according to established standards.
  • Invoices customers for sales, collects payment (check, cash, money order), and secures payment.
  • Maintains good working relationships with customers, internal employees, and management.
  • Communicates with retailers and management on issues regarding pricing, products, programs, and store problems.
  • Responsible for the proper accounting of all products, shells, and pallets.
  • Adheres to all company policies, standards, and procedures (OSHA, DOT, AIB, Federal/State/Local laws).
  • Maintains and completes required paperwork (DOT logs, sales reports, invoices, etc.).
  • Maintains confidentiality of product pricing and other sensitive information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works overtime as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Operates a motorized pallet jack and walkie rider.
