About The Position

This is an opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet. The Combo Capillary/ESP Spooling Technician will be responsible for driving a capillary truck and pulling a combo capillary trailer to customer rig sites. They will perform customer support activities for artificial lift, including ESP spooling and capillary spooling onto a reel as tubing is extracted from the well hole. The role involves inspecting and repairing capillary at customer locations, using pneumatic and manual hand tools, and banding cable/capillary during installation into the well hole. The technician will also be responsible for installing downhole gauges and wireless communications, banding or clamping capillary and TEC cable with a Forum banding tool, and assisting with other ChampionX product lines. Developing strong customer relationships through professional communication, enforcing safety policies, completing DOT paperwork, and maintaining the truck and trailer are key aspects of the role. The position also contributes to a continuous improvement culture and maintains confidentiality.

Requirements

Must be age 21 or older to drive company vehicle.
Valid driver's license in state of residence required.
Three years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
One year experience splicing electrical cable, capillary cable, TEC cable and testing CT line.
Strong mechanical skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good math skills.
Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to troubleshoot customer issues.
Ensures accountability.
Strong safety focus.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

Drive capillary truck and pull combo capillary trailer to customer rig site.
Perform customer support activities for artificial lift, including ESP spooling and capillary spooling onto a reel as the tubing is extracted from the well hole.
Inspect and repair capillary at customer locations.
Use pneumatic and manual hand tools, bands cable/capillary as it is being installed into the well hole.
Install downhole gauge and wireless commutations.
Band or clamp capillary and TEC cable with a Forum banding tool.
Assist with other ChampionX product lines.
Develop strong relationships with key customers through frequent and professional communication.
Enforce compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Complete DOT paperwork as required to include documentation and maintenance of DOT driving log.
Maintain truck and trailer per Company standards.
Drive and contribute to the department continuous improvement culture.
Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
