We are committed to delivering excellence and are currently seeking a skilled Combo Aluminum TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. As a Welder at Environmental Air Systems, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, contributing to the production of cutting-edge environmental control systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in TIG welding techniques, with a focus on aluminum materials. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing welds that meet the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in TIG welding, with a focus on aluminum materials.
  • Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality welds with attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in welding is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum components according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure accurate assembly and welding of aluminum parts for environmental control systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of welded components to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns or issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Identify and address any issues related to welding processes, materials, or equipment, proposing solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
