Requirements

3–5 years of experience in piping and/or equipment repair.
Experience with local technical standards related to process piping, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and storage tanks.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on a multitude of tasks.
Ability to quickly assess problems and able to process workable solutions.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Welding certification required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, dismantle, repair, and maintain plant equipment, including piping systems, pumps, valves, and emergency services equipment, ensuring proper alignment, testing, and functionality.
Fabricate, layout, construct, alter, and repair piping, structural steel, wooden structures, and minor refractory or concrete/cement structures.
Conduct inspections on plant equipment such as gearboxes, slings, hoists, cranes, and rigging systems, supporting maintenance and repair activities as needed.
Remove and replace insulation as part of assembling, disassembling, and repairing pipes and fittings.
Support WWTP operations when required, including operating presses and performing tasks not requiring certification (e.g., installing liners in waste roll-offs).
Utilize appropriate tools, equipment, and devices to complete assigned tasks, including operating automatic welding machines when qualified.
Ensure clear communication and coordination with departments and plant personnel, maintaining accurate updates and documentation as needed.
Follow all safety and environmental standards, procedures, and regulations, while assisting other crafts and performing additional duties as assigned by management.
