This role is ideal for candidates local to the area, with potential for 40-50 hours per week, though schedules are subject to change. A drug test and employment physical are required.

Requirements

Minimum four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
Pass written pre-employment qualification test.
Pass post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
Complete Hazard Communication orientation/test.
Complete Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination.
Must wear OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
Complete job site orientation.
Adhere to job site safety requirements as required by the client (e.g., clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots).
Use safety equipment as required by the client (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard).
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, pipe, and building and bridge parts.
Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
Set up equipment and weld parts.
May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
May weld pipe such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, etc., by process of arc, heliarc, gas, mig, tig, etc.
May weld pipe, sheet metal, structural steel, brackets, or other materials.
May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
May use a cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.
