About The Position

Methodist Medical Group is seeking a full-time Colorectal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our patient-centered clinic in Dallas, TX. This role involves working collaboratively with Colorectal Physicians to provide comprehensive care for patients with colorectal conditions. The position includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, focusing on surgical support, pre- and post-operative management, patient education, and continuity of care. The APP will be instrumental in improving patient outcomes and supporting the growth of the colorectal program. Requirements

Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
Active Texas medical license.
Minimum 1 – 2 years of surgical or inpatient APP experience preferred.
Colorectal or general surgery experience strongly desired.
Strong clinical judgment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient care under physician supervision.
Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and post-operative management.
Manage patient care plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Prescribe medications.
Provide patient/family education.
Participate in hospital rounds and discharge planning.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care.
Collaborate closely with colorectal surgeons, nursing staff, and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes.
