About The Position

Sika is seeking a Color Lab Technician to join its Santa Fe Springs team. The technician processes color requests to meet production demands, maintains and operates laboratory equipment, follows safety policies, communicates project status and results to supervisors, keeps the workspace organized, handles UPS deliveries and other logistical tasks, and takes on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of directly related color-matching or color-mixing experience, ideally with samples, stucco, and/or grout materials.
• Full perception of the color spectrum and the ability to create formulas promptly using available materials.
• Basic computer proficiency for accessing a formula database.
• Good math knowledge, including fractions and decimal conversions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with all techniques of stucco application.

Responsibilities

• Process color requests efficiently and accurately to meet production demands.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including the wastewater drainage system, dust collector, and SBMF oven.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and results to supervisors.
• Keep the workspace organized and handle UPS deliveries and other logistical tasks.
• Adapt to additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
