About The Position
The Director of Colorguard Training is responsible for the technical training, instructional delivery, and performance achievement of all colorguard members. This position ensures that students develop the skills necessary to perform at a high level.
Requirements
- Serves as the primary driver of student performance and growth
- Works within the artistic framework established by the Coordinator
- Does not oversee program logistics or administrative systems
Responsibilities
- Lead instruction in: Equipment technique (flag, rifle, sabre)
- Movement and dance technique
- Choreography execution and performance quality
- Design and implement skill progression systems for all students
- Lead cleaning and refinement of show material
- Conduct sectionals and focused instructional blocks
- Provide individualized feedback and student development
- Assist with choreography implementation in alignment with program design
