About The Position

To ensure the accuracy and consistency of color in printed materials produced on site. This role requires an understanding of color theory, color management systems, and the printing process.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in color management software (e.g., X-Rite, Datacolor)
  • Knowledge of gravure printing processes and equipment
  • Experience with color calibration and quality control
  • In-depth knowledge of color theory
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ten years of experience in gravure printing, ink formulation, or ink room operations
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and overhead work
  • Able to work around cleaning materials
  • Able to access the production floor adhering to safety and security protocols

Responsibilities

  • Verify ink consistency and color accuracy before press runs
  • Troubleshoot color deviations and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate production & quality records, color decisions and processes
  • Support process improvements related to ink usage, waste reduction, and efficiency
  • Establish and maintain standardized color matching procedures and best practices
  • Train color booth operators on color theory, color management best practices, ink mixing, and troubleshooting
  • Assist in the development of color training materials and standard work instructions
  • Communicate (verbally and written) with CLM team, process coordinators, team leads, Quality Department and other overlapping site employees
