About The Position

This role is responsible for making pigment used each day and for large orders, as well as performing extrusion tasks. The Color Compounder will bring necessary resins or concentrates to blending operations and ensure a continuous supply of resin to machines to prevent downtime. Additionally, the role involves maintaining material storage to keep it off the ground and clear of drains, capping and locking all lines outside the fence when not in use, and performing any additional tasks assigned by the group leader.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of approximately 15 times per 8-hour day.
  • Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.
  • Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara Screen)
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Ability to work at heights (with or without fall protection). Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
  • Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance for a minimum of 5 times per day
  • Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to connect other co-workers in other areas of the complex.
  • Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
  • Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance 12-18 inches
  • Ability to stand /walk 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.

  • Blow resin to insure no Machines set down for lack of Material
  • Make sure material is kept off the ground and clear from drains

  • Any additional tasks assigned by group leader
