About The Position

Experienced Collision Repair Technician wanted for Ford of El Paso Collision Center, part of Group 1 Automotive. This is a growth position, not a replacement. We are looking for an experienced technician who can make an immediate impact in a professional, team-oriented environment with a consistent workflow and strong repair volume. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional collision repair experience
  • Ability to immediately contribute in a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience performing both structural and non-structural collision repairs
  • Strong frame repair and metal finishing skills
  • Experience interpreting repair estimates and OEM repair procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • I-CAR Certifications including: Steel Welding, Aluminum Welding, Steel Sectioning
  • ASE Collision certifications are a plus
  • Experience working in OEM-certified collision centers

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete collision repairs according to OEM and manufacturer specifications.
  • Repair both heavy structural damage and light-to-moderate cosmetic damage.
  • Perform frame, structural, panel replacement, body alignment, and metal repair work.
  • Review repair estimates and verify correct parts before beginning repairs.
  • Identify and document supplemental damage and communicate additional repair needs.
  • Maintain repair quality while meeting productivity goals.
  • Work closely with estimators, painters, and fellow technicians to ensure efficient vehicle completion.
  • Follow all manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly use all required personal protective equipment.
