About The Position

DeVivo Companies is hiring a Collision Technician for its body shop in Middletown, Connecticut. The company provides transportation, fleet, and equipment solutions and has twelve locations and more than 100 years of operating history. The Collision Technician performs frame and mechanical repairs on trucks, light trucks, and buses, using a company-supplied modern pulling system. The role also involves metal fabrication and MIG and oxy-acetylene welding. Training is provided on the current frame-pulling equipment. The position requires working in a flexible, fast-paced environment and meeting the physical demands described in the posting. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in bus or truck mechanical repairs.
High school diploma, trade school education, or equivalent.
Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
Driver’s license.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly and perform required vehicle inspections.
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and use vehicle safety equipment.
Ability to assist passengers during boarding, exiting, and emergency evacuations.
