About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Collision Estimator to join our team. This role involves writing complete repair estimates, handling supplements efficiently, managing workflow to keep vehicles moving, and effectively communicating with customers and insurance companies. We are not a shop that tolerates broken processes or excuses; we expect our estimators to be self-sufficient and capable of handling pressure. You will be working in a stable environment with consistent work volume from various sources including commuter traffic, hail claims, insurance work, and fleet vehicles. Our parts and processes are well-established, ensuring a smooth workflow, and our technicians appreciate estimators who provide clear and accurate repair sheets. Management supports production and expects estimators to be reliable members of the team.

Requirements

• Experience working with insurance carriers is required.
• Ability to write a complete sheet without missing damage.
• Ability to handle supplements without babysitting.
• Ability to keep cars moving instead of stacking up.
• Ability to talk to customers and insurance without things blowing up.
• Ability to write estimates correctly the first time.
• Ability to catch damage others miss.
• Ability to push jobs forward and prevent them from stalling.
• Ability to handle pressure without losing control of the job.
• Ability to be someone the shop can rely on.
• Experience with Progressive Insurance is a strong plus.
