Our Estimators are at the center of it all—driving accuracy, communication, and profitability while delivering a seamless experience for both customers and insurance partners. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-driven Collision Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, writing complete repair estimates, and managing the repair process from intake through delivery. You will serve as the primary point of contact for both customers and insurance companies—owning communication, documentation, and ensuring every job is properly scoped, approved, and executed without delays. This is a high-impact role directly tied to revenue accuracy, cycle time, customer satisfaction, and overall job profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience as a collision estimator (CCC experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of repair processes, blueprinting, and supplements
  • Excellent negotiation skills with insurance companies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a high level of accountability and ownership

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections and identify all visible damage
  • Write accurate, complete estimates in CCC
  • Capture all billable items (labor, parts, sublet, additional services)
  • Document all customer requests and concerns
  • Ensure all information is clearly entered and communicated to production
  • Participate in full teardown and blueprinting
  • Identify hidden damage with technicians and GM
  • Write and submit supplements quickly and accurately
  • Negotiate with insurance for full scope approval
  • Ensure every repair plan is complete and production-ready
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the repair process
  • Provide updates at least every 3 days (status, delays, timeline)
  • Set clear expectations from day one
  • Deliver a professional, responsive, and empathetic experience
  • Document all communication in CCC (calls, texts, emails)
  • Communicate directly with adjusters and insurance partners
  • Submit estimates and supplements for approval
  • Negotiate to ensure proper repair scope and compensation
  • Drive timely approvals to avoid production delays
  • Ensure jobs are fully ready before entering production: Complete estimate and blueprint, All customer requests documented, Repair plan clearly communicated in CCC
  • Align with Parts Manager to confirm correct parts ordering
  • Coordinate scheduling with GM
  • Walk the shop daily to track repair progress with technicians
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized repair files in CCC
  • Ensure all estimates, supplements, photos, notes, and requests are documented
  • Verify all items are properly tied to the Repair Order (RO)
  • Review repairs prior to delivery
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with customers when needed
  • Confirm all work and requests are completed
  • Ensure payment is collected prior to release
