About The Position

Bowser Collision Center in Monroeville is seeking an experienced Collision Body Technician. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of proper repairs, and desires to be part of a team that values quality and efficiency. As a Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition, working on a variety of vehicles and collision repairs while adhering to OEM repair procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Previous collision repair experience required.
  • Experience with structural and non-structural body repairs.
  • Ability to properly disassemble and reassemble vehicles.
  • Knowledge of OEM repair procedures and collision repair standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, motivated, and willing to take pride in your work.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble vehicles to identify and access damaged areas.
  • Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs.
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels and components.
  • Perform frame and structural repairs as needed.
  • Replace and properly align body panels, doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers, and other components.
  • Complete repairs according to OEM specifications and repair procedures.
  • Ensure proper panel fit, gaps, alignment, and overall quality of repairs.
  • Read and follow repair estimates and communicate additional damage or repair needs.
  • Reassemble vehicles following repairs and ensure all components are properly installed.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
  • Work with estimators, painters, parts personnel, and other technicians to keep vehicles moving through the repair process.
  • Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer repair recommendations.
  • Participate in training to stay current with new vehicle technology and collision repair procedures.
