About The Position

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining service areas and equipment for safe service operations. This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors and stairs in the shop area, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and break rooms, restocking supplies, emptying trash cans, general maintenance of grounds and shop equipment, maintaining CSI at or above Company standards, maintaining an organized, clean and safe work area, participating in required training, accurately recording all hours worked in the company timekeeping system, following Safeguards rules and regulations, demonstrating the Company’s Core Values, complying with Company policies and procedures, and observing all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
GED or High School Diploma
Previous janitorial or maintenance experience desired.
Valid Driver’s License
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds.
Regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Sweep and mop floors and stairs in shop area

Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary
General maintenance of grounds and shop equipment
Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Participates in required training
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
Complies with Company policies and procedures
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
