About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for supporting assigned chapters and their leaders in areas of recruitment, retention, public relations and sisterhood in compliance with Gamma Phi Beta policies and procedures. This position may also support extension and establishment of new chapters. This is a temporary position for two consecutive academic years with work aligning to the academic calendar. It has a full-time work schedule while school is in session and a reduced work schedule for approximately six to eight weeks per year during the summer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel); word processing software (Word); electronic mail software (Outlook); database software (iMIS); presentation software (PowerPoint); project management software.
  • Organized, accurate and efficient.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize projects.
  • Collaborative and effective work practices while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as requested and authorized to Gamma Phi Beta chapters, events and conferences.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and/or weekend conference calls and meetings.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Gamma Phi Beta membership required.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience in sorority, Panhellenic or other student organizations preferred
  • Understanding of nonprofit organizations and volunteer management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an on-site international Gamma Phi Beta representative for established and new collegiate chapters and their members.
  • Identify and recruit potential new members (PNMs) through primary and extension recruitment and continuous open bidding (COB).
  • Support member retention by evaluating member retention initiatives, identifying at-risk members and implementing retention interventions.
  • Create positive chapter public relations with international Gamma Phi Beta, the fraternity/sorority community, campus administrators, PNMs and the greater community.
  • Support chapter operations in all areas of chapter life related to recruitment, retention, public relations and sisterhood.
  • Assist in the logistical execution of extension recruitment, including but not limited to tabling, cold calling, PNMs meetings, extension recruitment rounds, COB, etc., as necessary.
  • Support new and established chapters in executing daily chapter operations, including but not limited to financial management, member accountability, new member education, meeting facilitation, etc.
  • Coordinate effective and creative training and guidance for chapter collegiate officers, including but not limited to goal setting, facilitating workshops, distributing resource materials, etc.
  • Partner with and utilize Gamma Phi Beta staff, volunteer leaders, chapter advisors and/or other advisory board members on chapter support measures.
  • Participate in consultant training and debriefings.
  • Perform administrative duties, including: Tracking and updating member and chapter databases, Chapter Builder, weekly reports and event details. Submitting expense reports with receipts and timecards to International Headquarters (IH) at appropriate deadlines. Completing all reporting requirements by deadline.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with campus fraternity/sorority advisor(s) to foster communication between headquarters, university and chapter.
  • Utilize social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc., appropriately to market the Gamma Phi Beta membership experience as needed and as directed by staff.
  • Publicize CLC position and identify future candidates.
  • Complete online training modules in Fidelity and any other learning management systems as assigned.
  • Attend regular meetings with the CLC program manager and CLC team as directed.
  • Attend regular meetings with the chapter services manager as directed.
  • Attend monthly Membership Experience Division meetings as directed.
