About The Position

The Collegiate Ambassador Program creates a space for generational and institutional knowledge sharing to support a collaborative learning environment. This role allows the next generation of the workforce to develop skills and gain knowledge that can be applied to full-time employment while helping Ho-Chunk, Inc. and the Community identify and understand workforce needs and career pathways. This role allows the next generation of the workforce to develop skills, gain knowledge and assists organization in carrying out various administrative functions, representing the business, and participates in job learning activities.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Must have completed at least one full semester of post-secondary education (technical, associate, undergraduate, or graduate) and be currently pursuing degree advancement.
  • Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license and be insurable under company programs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the overall mission and model of the company and contribute to Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s goals and mission.
  • Participate in a company-specific placement (internal or external) relevant to current degree or career interests.
  • Utilize curriculum and learning pathway development through Ho-Chunk University.
  • Develop and maintain communicative relationships with Ho-Chunk, Inc. stakeholders and community workforce partners.
  • Maintain a weekly log of work responsibilities.
  • Model leadership behaviors consistent with Ho-Chunk, Inc. NATIVE values.
  • Utilize company software for data entry, assist with departmental filing, and attend training related to office skills and job functions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive materials.
  • Develop a 3-month transition plan outlining steps toward securing employment in a field of interest.
  • Participate in scheduled follow-ups one, two, and three months after graduation.
  • Begin seeking employment no later than three months after graduation.
