About The Position

This position is for a College Work Study Student in Campus Recreation for the Summer 2026 term. The role involves performing various clerical and receptionist duties at the front desk, including customer service, program registration, record keeping, data entry, and filing. The student may also support weekend/evening special events or projects. Responsibilities include conducting facility tours, explaining membership requirements, creating membership cards, marketing, and providing information about Athletics. The employee will also manage and maintain equipment and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must have completed this year’s FAFSA.
  • Must have accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package.

  • Willingness to learn new processes.
  • Good understanding of diverse multicultural environments.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, CANVA, MS-Word, and MS-Excel.
  • Must upload a Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Must upload proof of receiving the Student Employment Award (either a copy of the latest CSN Award Notification showing the Student Employment Award or a screenshot of the accepted award from the “View/Accept Financial Aid” screen in MyCSN).
  • Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.
  • Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.
  • Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
  • Cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.

  • Helpful experience for students in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Sports Management, Recreational Therapy, Health Promotion, Hospitality/Events Management (especially if recreation programming involves event planning).
