About The Position
Prep Academy Tutors of Southern Maryland is hiring qualified, reliable tutors to support college students near Howard University. We are looking for subject-matter experts who can help students succeed in challenging, high-demand courses. This is a great opportunity for educators, graduate students, and professionals who enjoy teaching and mentoring. Subjects Needed: College Algebra & Calculus, General Chemistry (Lecture & Lab), Biology (Introductory & Pre-Med), Physics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong knowledge in at least one listed subject
- Reliable transportation (for in-person sessions)
Nice To Haves
- Master’s preferred
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring (in-person or online)
- Simplify complex concepts and improve student understanding
- Help students prepare for exams and complete assignments
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality
