JOB TITLE: College Relations Representative JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate recruitment efforts and serve as primary point of contact for the Tomé Scholars to Fellows Program in the Haub School of Environment & Natural Resources. Establish and administer programs for targeting recruitment of Haub School students including Tomé scholars. Provide a strategic marketing and recruitment approach that considers the integration of marketing efforts, including website, social media presence, publications, and advertising pieces. Provide academic advising functions for Tomé scholars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year work-related experience
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.

  • Working knowledge of academic recruitment policies, procedures, systems, regulations, and standards at the university level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of student academic advisement, outreach strategies, development and retention issues, trends, and programs at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Haub School’s Tomé scholars’ program, including administrative and reporting obligations.
  • Organize and participate in outreach events aimed at Tomé scholar and Tomé alumni.
  • Assist, and in some instances lead, in the development of promotional and recruiting materials, social media feeds, and website information.
  • Provide academic planning and advising to Tomé Scholars.
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and professional leadership in the development of recruitment programs, initiatives, and strategies for the Haub School and Tomé scholars’ program.
  • Serve independently as the point person for internal coordination of Haub School recruitment and enrollment management goals.
  • Visit schools and colleges in Wyoming and beyond.
  • Speak to groups, individual students, and meet with school counselors and administrators.
  • Lead the Haub School prospective student visit program, including overseeing the staffing of campus visits, workshops and orientations, and supervising the Haub School student Ambassadors program.
  • Develop and maintain a network of collaborative relationships with University colleagues about recruitment programs, initiatives, and issues.
  • Collect and maintain data on Haub School student recruitment and retention; develop methods for analysis and presentation of data, and prepare summary analyses, evaluative reports, and recommendations.
  • Actively participate in professional workshops, seminars, and associations at local, state, regional, and national basis to include conference presentations.
  • Keep up to date on University and Haub School policies and regulations pertaining to degree requirements.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special projects, as directed.
  • Serve on committees, as directed.
