The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association is currently seeking a College Prep Coordinator, YOLA. Founded in 1919, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association's mission is to perform, present, and promote music in its varied forms at the highest level of excellence to a diverse and large audience, both at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association is dedicated to continuing its pre-eminent status in the music world of the 21st century. YOLA provides incomparable and equitable access to a high-quality and intensive music education for more than 1,700 elementary, middle, and high school students from diverse and vibrant communities across Los Angeles at five unique sites. In providing this access, YOLA supports young people to leverage their learned skills and artistic identities and create transformational change for themselves and their communities. In 2021, the Beckmen YOLA Center was opened as a purpose-built space for program-wide YOLA activities as well as a cultural arts resource in the city of Inglewood. The YOLA College Prep Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and evaluation of YOLA’s College Prep programming, ensuring students and their families have access to the tools, knowledge, and opportunities needed to pursue academic and career pathways. Working closely with the YOLA Programs Outcome Manager and serving as a point of connection with YOLA hub teams, this role helps develop and implement programming, and support partnerships with colleges, universities, and external organizations that advance student postsecondary outcomes. Centered on student engagement and access, the coordinator supports program operations through event coordination, student check‑ins, partnership communication, scholarship support, and data systems that track student participation and outcomes. The role also contributes to program development and continuous improvement through evaluation, documentation, and data‑informed decision‑making, reinforcing YOLA’s values‑driven, community‑centered approach to student success. This position is ideal for a highly organized, collaborative, and relationship‑driven individual committed to supporting young people in achieving their goals within a vibrant music education environment.
