About The Position

The employee will be a part-time program clinician for SC Safe Seniors and will provide direct clinical services to the adult trauma and abuse population. SC Safe Seniors is a VOCA grant funded direct services program offering trauma focused mental health treatment to older adults who have experienced abuse or neglect. SC Safe Seniors offers individual evidence-based trauma treatment for patients experiencing symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and other related mental health conditions following abuse or neglect.

• A bachelor's degree and two years professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications in evidence-based treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder and depression related to trauma, (e.g., Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

Responsibilities

• Provision of evidence-based trauma informed comprehensive intake evaluations via telehealth or, less frequently, face-to-face intakes. The focal point of these evaluations generally will be on major depressive episode, posttraumatic stress disorder, functional impairment, and related anxiety and mood disorder conditions (35%)
• Provision of evidence-based treatment via telehealth or, less frequently, face-to-face treatment with patients who have experienced abuse or neglect. Cognitive and behavioral treatment approaches to addressing posttraumatic stress disorder and major depressive episode, and related anxiety and mood disorders will be most commonly used (35%)
• Attend individual and group clinical supervision (30%)
• Employee will complete any certifications needed, complete in-service training, and attend group meetings to discuss ongoing clinical operations.
