About The Position

Salt River Project (SRP), the nation’s third-largest public power electric utility and central Arizona’s largest supplier of raw water, is seeking a motivated college student to join its Telecommunication Systems department. This internship offers hands-on experience in a professional utility environment while working alongside skilled technical teams. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Must have experience with: Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word
• Must be able to work in a team setting.
• Must exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

• College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills.
• Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

Responsibilities

• Create compatible unit estimates within WAM Maximo for Telecom Systems personnel
• Perform job closings within WAM Maximo for Telecom Systems personnel
• Process asset updates within WAM Maximo for Telecom Systems personnel
• Support Telecom Systems personnel as needed
