WEG Transformers USA (WTU) operates as part of WEG’s Transmission and Distribution business. The Washington, Missouri campus includes Distribution, Power, and Specialty Transformer manufacturing operations. In 2025, WEG committed a $77 million investment to expand capacity, modernize manufacturing, and support U.S. energy infrastructure. These operations employ over 600 team members locally and continue to grow. WEG focuses on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. WEG Transformers USA seeks motivated and dependable College Interns to support manufacturing operations at the Washington, Missouri site during the approaching summer term of up to thirteen weeks. Interns will receive a project-based assignment in selected business functions. Each intern will deliver a mid-assignment presentation and a final presentation to site leadership, including WEG executives. Presentations summarize results, lessons learned, and potential future applications. This internship offers hands-on exposure to modern manufacturing operations within a growing global organization investing heavily in U.S. infrastructure, renewable energy, and advanced production systems. Interns build practical skills, professional communication experience, and leadership visibility that will support future career development.
