Marymount School of New York seeks a seasoned college counselor to serve as a leave replacement during the second semester. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in college counseling and a strategic, organized, and student-centered approach to guiding students and their families through the college process. The college counselor will assume responsibility for an established caseload of students, honoring each student's unique strengths and aspirations and providing personalized strategic guidance throughout a complex and highly individualized process. The successful candidate brings a calm, thoughtful presence while providing support to students, families, and colleagues. In this role, it is essential to build trusting relationships through meticulous attention to detail and proactive, professional, and responsive communication. College counselors at Marymount work as a close-knit, highly collaborative team, partnering with one another to provide exceptional guidance and support throughout every stage of the college process. This position reports to the Co-Director of College Counseling and works closely with the Associate Director of College Counseling, as well as faculty and administrators, to foster a thoughtful and student-centered college counseling program.
