About the Tulsa Higher Education Consortium Tulsa is home to the only higher education consortium of its kind in the state of Oklahoma. The Tulsa Higher Education Consortium (THE Consortium) is an organization of multi-institutional, cross-sector partnerships that meaningfully improve students’ journeys toward degree completion, professional independence, and economic mobility. Its members include nine Tulsa-area colleges and universities (College of the Muscogee Nation, Langston University, Northeastern State University, OSU-Tulsa, OU-Tulsa, Rogers State University, Southern Nazarene University-Tulsa, Tulsa Community College, and the University of Tulsa) and seven affiliate partners (Tulsa Community Foundation, Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, the City of Tulsa, the Tulsa Regional Chamber, ImpactTulsa, The Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education). The Tulsa Higher Education Consortium’s mission is to advance student learning, improve student success, achieve equity in outcomes, and meet workforce needs by working collaboratively to increase higher education opportunities in the region. THE Consortium serves as a convener, connector, and communicator for its members, allowing for synergy and true collaboration centered around supporting Tulsa-area students on their postsecondary journeys. Job Summary The College Access and Housing Navigator supports youth and young adults by providing both housing navigation and college access services. This hybrid role dedicates approximately 50% of time to the Youth Housing Program and 50% to College Access Navigation. The Navigator provides individualized case management, connects students to campus and community resources, and guides students and families through FAFSA and Oklahoma’s Promise application processes. The position serves as a bridge between higher education institutions, housing systems, and community providers to help students achieve both educational access and housing stability on the path toward self-sufficiency.
