About The Position
Our Collectors work directly with the Collections Department to assist in managing delinquent accounts by working with members and other credit union employees to recover overdue debts for the Credit Union.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Strong ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Timely and meticulous attention to verbal and written communication.
- Devotion to earning and maintaining member trust.
- Attentiveness to professionalism in appearance and action.
- Energetic, friendly and positive attitude
- Believe in doing the right thing, want to make a lasting impact, strive to be better every day and aren’t afraid to grow!
Nice To Haves
- Prior retail or consumer lending experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and effectively manage long-term, trusting relationships.
- Process Delinquent payments.
- Analyze financial situations of borrowers.
- Assists employees with member accounts.
- Work with members on their delinquent payments or negative shares.
- Make both incoming and outgoing by phone calls on a daily basis.
- Provide consistent member follow-up.
- Comply with all regulations as required by law.
- Actively participate in continuing education related to credit union career development.
