About The Position

Five Star Bank is growing and seeking motivated, customer-focused professionals to join its Collections team. This is a general application for potential future openings within the Collections department. Opportunities may include Collections Adjuster, Senior Collections Adjuster, and Consumer Loan Workout Specialist. Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers with delinquent accounts, managing inbound and outbound communications.
• Review account details, educate customers on repayment options, and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Resolve past-due balances in a professional and compliant manner.
• Balance strong customer service with risk management while adhering to all regulatory and bank policies.
• Handle more complex, higher-risk, or specialized portfolios (Senior Collections Adjuster).
• Support escalations or advanced loss mitigation efforts (Senior Collections Adjuster).
• Leverage deep knowledge of collections strategy, compliance requirements, and negotiation techniques (Senior Collections Adjuster).
• Mentor or guide junior team members, assist with workflow oversight, and promote consistency and quality (Senior Collections Adjuster).
• Work with customers experiencing financial hardship to develop sustainable, long-term solutions for distressed consumer loan accounts (Consumer Loan Workout Specialist).
• Evaluate borrower circumstances, recommend appropriate modification or workout options, and guide customers through resolution strategies (Consumer Loan Workout Specialist).
• Collaborate with internal partners to support effective loss mitigation (Consumer Loan Workout Specialist).
