The 30+ days Collections Specialist is responsible for contacting customers with delinquent auto loan accounts to secure payments, obtain payment commitments, and establish repayment arrangements. This role combines customer service, negotiation, and compliance-focused collections practices while maintaining a professional and positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and confident handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while delivering excellent service and meeting performance goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with customers regarding delinquent auto loan accounts, secure payments or payment commitments, and help establish repayment arrangements.
  • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
  • Document account activity accurately.
  • Provide professional, empathetic service throughout the collections process.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio.
  • Follow all state and federal debt collection laws (FDCPA) and company policies.
  • Meet performance metrics.
  • Escalate accounts when needed.
