About The Position

The Collections Specialist provides support to Sun Loan customers and branch offices from a centralized call center located in San Antonio, TX. As a Collections Specialist, you will take a mix of inbound and outbound calls while collecting on past due or delinquent accounts. By building a strong rapport with your customer, you will be able to make an impact on the business. Your passion for customer service and inner competitiveness will allow you to excel in our fast-paced environment. Candidates local to the San Antonio market are preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a call center environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years’ experience in collections preferred.
• Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take a mix of inbound and outbound calls while collecting on past due or delinquent accounts.
• Build strong rapport with customers.
• Provide superior phone-based customer interaction (~90% outbound and ~10% inbound calls).
• Communicate with customers in a metrics-driven environment.
• Conduct skip tracing for overdue accounts not resolved with current information.
• Review assigned past due accounts to determine options to bring account current.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Navigate multiple technologies while demonstrating resiliency and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
