Responsible for the research, collection and/or resolution of an assigned account portfolio in accordance with PharMerica’s Collections Policy and Procedures and the Consumer Credit Protection Act of 1977. This role involves collection efforts of patient-level accounts primarily for private accounts, working with responsible parties through inbound/outbound telephone calls, providing customer service, explaining billing, and following up on past due accounts using approved collection techniques. The analyst will also work with internal and external customers to resolve assigned accounts by collecting balances due or taking other necessary actions such as write-offs, billing to another source, in-house collections, or referral to an attorney or collections agency. Productivity records will be maintained. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with pharmacy billing associates for accurate billing and resident information, re-billing, and resolving unpaid claims. The analyst will also work with the Private Collection Manager/Supervisor in researching pharmacy accounts requiring special attention and taking necessary collection actions. This includes receiving inbound correspondence and mailing outbound collection letters for 90-day active/inactive accounts and discontinuation of service letters. Collaboration with the Private Collections Manager/Supervisor and management team on special projects is also part of the role, along with performing other assigned tasks.
