About The Position

Our client, a leader in recreational finance, is seeking an experienced Collection Specialist to manage delinquent consumer accounts and work directly with customers to bring accounts current. This position is best suited for someone with a strong background in subprime auto collections and secured consumer lending.

Requirements

• 5+ years of secured consumer loan collections experience required.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Professional approach when handling challenging customer conversations.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a large number of accounts and competing priorities.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to work 5 days per week in an office environment.

Nice To Haves

• Subprime auto collections experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to customers with overdue accounts.
• Discuss delinquent balances and available payment options.
• Negotiate and establish payment arrangements.
• Review account history to determine appropriate collection strategies.
• Document collection activity and customer interactions accurately.
• Address questions and concerns related to account status and payments.
• Assist with billing and payment disputes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve account issues.
• Prepare collection activity reports for management.
• Work toward established collection and performance goals.
