Aon is looking to hire a Collection Specialist I. This is a hybrid position out of our Fort Wayne, IN location, with the 6 months in office for training. Aon is in the business of better decisions. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of commercial collections experience
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills- negotiate and administer exceptions for special payment plans for accounts in default
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite products
  • Strong decision making skills and initiative to work independently
  • Demonstrate analytics and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and coordinate Collection portfolio to meet Collection and Cancellation guidelines.
  • Provide specialized support by thoroughly reviewing, researching, and resolving accounts to ensure timely and accurate final resolution.
  • Continually seek to improve relationships with Business Units customers and also to improve processes.
  • Administer Collection contacts via phone, e-mails, and letters.
  • Analyze Business Units needs as well as coordinate and communicate respectively.
  • Correspond with FP&A as necessary on bad-debt reserves.
  • Anticipate workflow issues and volume increases/decreases and keeps management advised.
