The LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center seeks a Collection Services Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Resource Management, the Collection Services Librarian is responsible for developing, assessing, acquiring, and providing access to the Law Library's print and electronic collections in support of the teaching, research, and service missions of the Law Center. The position coordinates collection development activities, acquisitions workflows, serials management, cataloging, and metadata services to ensure that library resources are discoverable and accessible to users. They must be able to function in a collegial, teamwork-oriented environment with a strong service orientation; be self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and superior organizational and analytical skills; maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, and in a timely manner; capacity to work independently and as a collaborative team member. Candidates holding a J.D. in addition to the required M.L.S. may participate in legal research instruction and other faculty responsibilities as assigned.
