About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a Collection Clerk for their Austell, GA location. This role is responsible for receiving and recording daily driver receivables, documenting deliveries made without check or cash receipts, and verifying payments against store printouts. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some knowledge of warehouse software.
  • Basic Windows functions.
  • SAP, KEA, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, records, and verifies daily receipts from drivers.
  • Receives, records, and verifies daily check deposits from drivers and completes control sheets.
  • Verifies and copies grocery store printouts.
  • Analyzes and researches causes to "short pays" and explains results to the responsible driver.
  • Produces reports summarizing daily activities and shortages.
  • Documents uncollected checks by driver stop.
  • Files documents and deposits account summaries into a secured safe.
  • Dialogues and summarizes accounts with drivers.
  • Manages the resolution of short payments.
  • Assists with related special projects, as required.
  • Assists in dispatching and answering phone calls.
  • Assists in other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.
