About The Position

The Collateral Management Associate is responsible for supporting collateral recovery activities by gathering, reviewing, and updating account and vehicle location information for delinquent accounts assigned for repossession. This role uses established skip-tracing tools and procedures to help identify potential customer or collateral location information and communicates updates to internal partners and approved vendors. This role works within defined policies and procedures, maintains accurate account documentation, and may have limited customer contact to support repossession arrangements.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of collections, customer service, financial services, or related experience.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work an assigned queue efficiently to meet productivity and quality expectations.
• Ability to use approved skip-tracing tools and internal systems to research, update, and document account and collateral information.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate internal systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate customer and vehicle location information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with peers, customers, vendors, and internal partners.
• Strong listening skills and ability to follow established procedures, direction, and coaching.
• Proven track record with delivering seamless customer experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a performance coaching environment.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to collections, repossession, collateral recovery, or skip-tracing processes preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work an assigned queue of repossession accounts using established processes and approved skip-tracing tools to gather and update customer and collateral location information
• Update vehicle location information with approved repossession vendors and internal partners to support collateral recovery activities.
• Review assigned accounts to identify and validate missing, incomplete, or inaccurate customer or vehicle location information, escalating issues as needed.
• Document account activity accurately and enter updates into appropriate systems in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
