About The Position

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a safety-oriented Machine Operator to work in our air-conditioned facility. The role is seeking someone with extensive experience in manufacturing and top applicants will have previous experience operating a cold heading machine. The role will be responsible for setting, operating, and troubleshooting four machines within this cell. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude is required for this position.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent knowledge
  • The ability to frequently handle items up to 45 lbs.
  • The ability to bend, carry, grasp, lift, reach, and twist.
  • Body, eye, hand, and finer coordination are required.
  • Comfort with an exposure to noise.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating a cold heading machine
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude is a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Setting up machines for specific rivet sizes
  • Setting up machines, using common hand tools, change tooling, adjust machines, and modify machine settings necessary.
  • Operating equipment, loading material, and making operating adjustments when necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining tooling and spare parts stock and replacements.
  • Checking material and inspect finished piece parts.
  • Troubleshooting machine when problems occur and follow previously established procedures for known machine issues.
  • Following all written quality and other procedures.
  • Following safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Performing preventative maintenance per machinery PM sheet.
  • Using PPE as required.
  • Working from equipment manuals, procedures, prints, and instructions.
  • Using hand truck to move material.
