This role involves setting up and operating cold heading machines, monitoring operations, performing maintenance, and ensuring product quality and safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Cold Headerman or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cold heading machinery and metal forming processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Technical training or certification in machining or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate cold heading machines according to specifications and production schedules.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
