About The Position
Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Coil Operator in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Coil Operator is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Coil experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to find information, document relevant information and knowledge of computers
- Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a stamping environment
Responsibilities
- Load and unload coil trucks
- Receive and tag coil when necessary and forward to appropriate location in Coil Bay
- Load and unload dies as required
- Supply Coil Bay with materials needed
- Remove finished goods from each specified area
- Stack and arrange product in safe, orderly manner within the warehouse
- Perform daily safety checks on forklift and maintain proper operation
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Participates in continuous improvement projects (Lean)
- Responsible to manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment
- Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook
